Since the 1980’s Bretton Baptist has been a consistent presence in Peterborough with a heart to show God’s love and serve the local community. We hope you are currently experiencing this or have done so recently.
We continue to see both great need and great opportunities to do more, so we are writing to invite you and others who we know well, to support our 2026 Community Appeal.
Our church provides activities and practical assistance for people living in the neighbourhood. These include our community lounge every Tuesday and Thursday morning, bowls for over 55’s, youth activities, midweek toddlers’ group, and summer activities.
Notably, throughout 2025/2026 we have become the host location for a weekly NHS vaccination centre. Our aim has always been to maximise our accessibility to create a welcoming place where local people can find friendship, a listening ear, encouragement, and help when they need it most. We are delighted to be recognised as a location for:
Events and support groups that reduce loneliness and isolation
Food and essential supplies for individuals and families experiencing hardship
Safe space and activities for children and young people, including refreshments
Local vaccination facilities
Practical community services available to everyone, regardless of background or belief
Any contribution, large or small, would make a meaningful difference. Donations can be made via our website giving page (please scan the QR code below), bank transfer (Virgin Money Sort code 05-06-67, Account number 46247225), card payment or our offertory boxes located in the church.
Thank you for considering our appeal and any contribution you may make. By working together, we know we can strengthen our neighbourhood and ensure that more people receive the care, connection, and practical support they need. We would love for you to come along and see what we are doing, you are most welcome.
Yours faithfully,
Trustees
